News Round-Up

Racist Bake Sale
A group of students from the University of California Berkeley organized a bake sale that would charge people according to their race and gender. The bake sale is being done as a statement and a protest to the bill SB 185, that would have students charged for school in the same fashion.

Michael Jackson's Doctor on Trial
Conrad Murray is trying to say that Michael Jackson mixed medications while Murray was out of the room. The defense is saying that Jackson took eight pills of lorazepam and then administered propofol to himself, all without Murray's knowledge.

UFC 135 Medical Releases

The official medical suspensions were released recently and it managed to have 12 people on it as well as one of the longest suspensions. Jon Jones will be out of action for 180 days unless he is cleared by a doctor. If a doctor clears Jones he will only be out 45 days.

SAT Cheating
Sam Eshaghoff, 19 of Great Neck, N.Y. was paid between $1,500-$2,500 to pretend to be at least six different students from a Long Island high school. For his fee Eshaghoff would go and pass the students SAT tests for them.
NASA Satellite
On Friday a dead NASA satellite came through the atmosphere and crashed into the water 300 miles northeast of American Somoa. The satellite had been launched on the space shuttle Discovery back in 1991.
